Jeonju University's Hotel Management Department Joins Hands with InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 Hotel in Vietnam for

Jeonju University's Hotel Management Department and InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 Hotel in Vietnam have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for student internships, exchange of recruitment information, and academic collaboration.

At the MOU signing ceremony held at the headquarters meeting room this morning at 11:00, Jeonju University's Vice President Hwang Insoo, along with Professor Lim Hyunjeong, Professor Sim Youngguk, Professor Todd, and Patrick Verove, the General Manager of InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 Hotel, and Jacqueline Seo, Assistant Director of Sales, were present to pledge close mutual cooperation between the two institutions.

Through this MOU, the two institutions have committed to fostering active industry-academia exchange, including student internships at InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 Hotel for Jeonju University's Hotel Management students, on-site education, exchange of recruitment information, and academic collaboration.

Vice President Hwang Insoo stated at the event, "I hope that through various opportunities created in the future, students will have a broader path to overseas employment."

General Manager Patrick Verove also expressed, "We visited Jeonju University because the excellent curriculum of the Hotel Management Department is well-known even in Vietnam, and we look forward to active exchanges with Jeonju University's Hotel Management Department."

After the MOU signing ceremony, General Manager Patrick Verove and Assistant Director Jacqueline Seo met with students from Jeonju University's Hotel Management Department, introducing them to the internship and recruitment programs at InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 Hotel and engaging in sincere conversations during a Q&A session.

Jeonju University's Hotel Management Department has disclosed that its students have been working as interns or regular employees at JW Marriott Hanoi Hotel in Vietnam for a decade. Professor Sim Youngguk of the Hotel Management Department remarked, "Having witnessed the outstanding performance and positive evaluations of our students working in Vietnam, this time, InterContinental Hanoi Hotel directly approached our department."

The Hotel Management Department of Jeonju University is currently actively facilitating internships and regular employment at five-star hotels in Vietnam, Singapore, Guam, and is preparing for the entry of students into the New Zealand hotel industry next year, achieving significant success in increasing overseas employment opportunities and enhancing employability.
