JJ Conducts Safety Campaign for Personal Mobility Devices

- Participatory Campaigns by Promoting Safety Rules for Personal Mobile Devices and Conducting Events -

Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) Student Support Office announced on November 23 (Thursday) that it had conducted a safety campaign for the safe use of personal mobile devices on campus.

The campaign was conducted in the form of instruction (education) and data distribution, borrowing the form of crackdowns on cases of non-compliance with personal mobile device safety rules that are frequently seen on campus through collaboration with related organizations such as Jeonju Wansan Police Station (Transportation Department), the Road Traffic Authority, and the Grand Automobile Driving Academy.

Due to user convenience, students often use electric kickboards on campus, but there are very few cases of actually observing safety rules, and the risk of accidents is also high, so users need to actively observe safety rules and pay attention to members.

The purpose of this campaign is to raise safety awareness of users by promoting safety rules such as wearing a safety helmet, one-man boarding, prohibiting driving on sidewalks, and obtaining a driver's license, and providing information that fines may be imposed when caught in a crackdown.

Bae Ji-hoon, president of the student council, said, "I think it could lead to an accident that should not have occurred if you stay away from your safety for a short time, but I hope students will not think that 'one of me will be okay' and follow the rules along with the interest of our classmates to create a safe campus environment."

Lee Sang-haeng, head of the student employment department, said, "Thank you for your active help in the proper use of electric kickboards for our students, including the Wansan Police Station, and we will regularly conduct safety campaigns so that students can pursue their studies safely."
