JJ, University ESG Management Practice Eco-friendly Pot Making Event

Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) Social Service Center announced that it held an eco-friendly pot making event 18th with the social service council as part of the university's ESG management practice.

The Social Service Center has formed a social service council for the past 3 years and has been conducting volunteer activities for local community contributions and university social responsibility to create a service ecosystem with effectiveness and organicity in the Jeonju area, led by our university.

Every year, the social service council conducts volunteer activities necessary for the community, including rural volunteer activities, booth experience volunteer activities, hand-knitted muffler sharing volunteer activities, and briquettes volunteer activities, and builds a system in cooperation with local community organizations to eliminate welfare blind spots.

The eco-friendly pot making volunteer activity will be linked to an event to deliver the pots to children at home and abroad and the elderly living alone while experiencing pot-making using eco-friendly materials that are naturally decomposed.

So Ji-yoon (Junior) of the Department of History and Cultural Contents, who participated as a volunteer at the event, said "I participated because I thought it was a good program where I could feel the value of donations while thinking about protecting the environment and conducting pleasant activities, and I hope many students will come and experience it."

Kim Moon-taek, director of the Missionary Service Center (Department of Theology and Adoration and Praise), who organized the event, said "Through this event, our students have an opportunity to grow into better citizens by raising awareness of environmental protection and experiencing the value of service and donation," He also said. "We will continue to cooperate with the community in the future."

Jeonju University said it is creating a positive case for the university's ESG management practice and will continue these efforts to support the university's sustainable development.
