JJ, 'Winter Blanket' Sharing Event for International Students

- Support for Study Abroad Life That Co-exists with the Region -

Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) announced on the 10th (Friday) that it held a "winter blanket" sharing event to 20 international students so that they could have a warm winter.

As part of the 2023 Credit Union Onnuri campaign, the event has been delivering winter blankets to more than 20 international students every year since 2020.

Song Tae-jin, chairman of Jeonju University Credit Union, said, "We conduct an annual Onnuri campaign to support and encourage international students who have to leave their hometowns and live alone in other countries. I hope that the warm winter will help international students live in other countries, and I will continue to provide support "

A Myanmar international student who participated in the event said, "I'm so pleased to be selected for the winter blanket sharing event, and to be given a warm blanket because Korea's prices are high that I've been living as a single blanket regardless of the season. I'm so happy to receive a warm blanket as a gift, Although the winter is cold in Korea, I gain great strength from the interest and love of the school."

Meanwhile, Jeonju University International Exchange Center operates various community cooperation programs every year in connection with local communities to support successful university life and settlement, such as sponsoring scholarships for international students, cultural classes after school, and sharing daily necessities.
