JJ Begins Early Admission Recruitment for 2024 'September 11th to 15th'


- Selection of 2,802 Students from Inside and Outside the Quota for Early Admission Recruitment, Establishment of Webtoon Cartoon Contents Department and Food Nutrition Department -


- Interviews/Practical Exams Are Conducted Face-to-face, and the Minimum Academic Standards of the Government-sponsored Scholastic Aptitude Test Are Not Applied -

Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) announced that it will accept applications for early admission recruitment for new students for the 2024 school year from September 11th to 15th.


Jeonju University will select 2,802 (97.2%) out of the total 2,882 recruits in the early admission recruitment process for the 2024 school year.

The total number of applicants for the comprehensive student record screening is 914. (794 general student admissions, 58 social integration admissions, and 62 balanced opportunity selection admissions) will be recruited. The criteria for evaluating documents for the 2024 comprehensive student record screening have been changed compared to the previous year, and the school records are evaluated based on academic ability (50 points), core competency (20 points), and major competency (30 points). The total number of applicants for the student sub-curricular screening is 1,717. (1,281 general student admissions, 90 local talentⅠ admissions, 2 local talentⅡ admissions, 55 incumbent admissions, 37 rural student admissions, 35 specialized high school graduate admissions, and 105 old student admissions. 100 incumbents s who graduated from specialized high schools, etc., and 12 candidates for the disabled, etc.) were recruited.


In particular, the Future Convergence University, which selects adult learners, has newly established incumbent admissions and old student admissions. It plans to recruit departments of companion animals and plants, eco-friendly automobile departments, and local venture departments in and out of the quota. For practical/performance-oriented screening, 171 students (138 general student admissions and 33 specialist admissions) will be selected for some departments in the arts and sports field.


In the 2024 academic unit restructuring, several departments were newly established to reflect the needs of test takers, parents, and high schools; Department of Webtoon Cartoon Contents and Department of Korean Literature Creation (Korean Literature, Web Literature Creation) at the University of Humanities and Contents, Department of Food and Nutrition at the College of Medicine, New Materials and Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Technology, Department of Data Engineering at Software Convergence University, Department of Soccer and Taekwondo at the University of Culture and Convergence, Minerva Department of Future Convergence University, Department of Companion Animals and Plants, Department of Eco-friendly Automobiles, Department of Local Venture of Future Convergence University etc.,


In the comprehensive student record screening admission, the document evaluation will be selected 100% without an interview test. In the student sub-curricular screening admission, the top three subjects in achievement are selected by adding the additional points for career selective subjects to the total score of the screening. Those who have not completed a career selective subjects and who have graduated from the GED shall be subject to comparison. In addition, from the occasional recruitment of 2024, graduates and prospective graduates will be selected by reflecting their grades until the first semester of the third year. Jeonju University announced that it will conduct an interview/practical test face-to-face, and matters related to interview/practical tests can be checked later on the notice on the admission website. The minimum academic standards for the government-sponsored scholastic aptitude test do not apply to all screenings.
