JJ, What Is the 1,000 won Breakfast That University Students Want?

The Award-winning Works of the 1,000 Won Breakfast Recipe Contest

Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) announced that it will conduct a survey on the preference of Jeonbuk-type 1,000 won for breakfast university students ahead of the full-fledged start of 1,000 won breakfast in the second semester.

In May, Jeonju University held a contest called "Breakfast Recipe of 1,000 won for University Students Using Jeollabuk-do Local Food" to find a breakfast menu of 1,000 won. A total of 43 teams from all over the country participated in the selection of seven award-winning works based on evaluation criteria such as usability, suitability, and novelty. Among them, recipes from the first to fourth places will be presented to students through supplementation and improvement of Jeonju University's Department of Korean Food Cooking.

During the five-day final exam period from June 12th to 16th, students can taste the breakfast menu of 1,000 won, which will be operated in the second semester, for only 300 people on a first-come, first-served basis every day. In particular, it will also present a menu that can be taken out in consideration of the tastes of university students. 

Hong Sung-deok, Vice President, said, "Our university will spare no support to stabilize local food and help students enjoy healthier and more delicious breakfasts of 1,000 won by utilizing our local agricultural products. I hope you have a good breakfast and take care of your health and grades during the exam period"

Meanwhile, Jeonju University said it plans to create a differentiated 1,000 won breakfast menu in the second semester and share it with universities in Jeollabuk-do and the province by receiving feedback and supplementing the menu selected through a 1,000 won breakfast preference survey.
