JJ held 2022 graduation ceremony

A total of 2,131 degrees were awarded, including 1,967 bachelor's degrees and 164 master's and doctor’s degrees.


Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) held a degree ceremony for the 2022 at 10:30 a.m. on February 15 at the JJ Art Hall, attended by honored guests, including the chairman of the board Cha Hyung-soon and the president of an alumni association Lim Jung-yeop. A total of 2,131 degrees were awarded, including 1,967 bachelor's degrees and 104 master's degrees and 60 doctor’s degrees.


The degree ceremony was attended by winners of various awards; the Chairman of the board’s Award, the President's Award, the President of an alumni association’s Award, graduates of each department and graduate school, and family members and relatives.

The awards were given to seven people, including Ahn Sung-min (Korean Language and Literature), Kim Da-mi (History, Culture and Contents), Kim Ga-eun (Tourism and Service Management) and Park Seo-hee (Law). The alumni president's award was given to four people, including Choi Jong-gil (History) or the doctor’s degress and Kim Yoo-jin (Business Administration) of the bachelor's degree.

Eight people, including Lee Hwan (English and American Language and Culture), will be honored with the achievement award.


The graduation ceremony center limited the number of attendees in advance in accordance with the recommended standards for quarantine rules, and held graduation ceremonies for each department for students who could not enter JJ Art Hall. At the graduation ceremony, Jeonju University character JJ also appeared in a graduation gown and had a photo time with students to share the joy of graduation. Each college lends graduation gowns to graduates for a week during the degree ceremony, and students who cannot attend the graduation ceremony can take memories of the campus at the Star Center Photo Zone.


Cha Jin-ah, head of JJ University's academic affairs, said, "I was sorry that we couldn't hold a degree ceremony due to COVID-19, but I'm glad to be able to bless and cheer for the graduates through the degree ceremony this year." She also hopes that superstars leaving JJ University will grow into global talent that leads the region and society."
