International Students at Jeonju University, "Samgyetang is Delicious"

- To provide a place to encourage community-sponsored international students –

Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) was sponsored by Jeonju Student Church (Pastor Park Yong-tae) and had a time to experience traditional Korean food culture by enjoying samgyetang to 40 international students from five countries at lunch on the 27th.

The Jeonju Student Church, which sponsored the event, organized the event to comfort and encourage outstanding international students staying in Korea even during vacation due to the lack of smooth access to foreign countries in the aftermath of COVID-19.

Jjan Tai-sun, a Vietnamese international student said "We are always grateful to those around us who think of and help international students," She also said, "I didn't know much about Boknal, but I learned about the meaning of keeping my health in the heat, and I think the first samgyetang in Jeonju is really delicious."

Kim Byung-ki, head of Jeonju University's International Exchange Center said "I am so grateful to encourage international students who are trying to achieve their dreams with the support of the community." He also said "It would have been a time to feel the warm heart of the community that international students cannot learn in the classroom."

Meanwhile, Jeonju University International Exchange Center establishes and supports a model for managing international students so that they can study abroad successfully, and Jeonju Student Church opens the With-U Cultural Center at the back of Jeonju University to help international students adapt to Korean life through volunteers.
