FOREIGN NATIONAL STUDENT INTERN PROGRAM (FNSIP)


Open to: All Interested College, Technical Institute, University Students (non-U.S. citizen students)

Position: 
Seoul – ATO, CLO, CONS, ECON, EEP, EXEC, DHS/CBP, GSO, FCS, KWC, PD, POL,

Busan – CONS/BUSAN

Opening Date:  September 11, 2023

Closing Date: September 22, 2023

Foreign National Student Intern Program
The Foreign National Student Intern Program is designed for students who are non-U.S. citizens seeking internships with U.S. Missions abroad. Students will gain valuable experience in various areas of foreign policy and management, and possible academic credit in respective institution. There are no benefits, compensation, or any future employment rights attached to student participation in the FNSIP.

Period of Internship
The internship period will be determined between the applicant and section during the interview. The internship will begin around January/February 2024 to July/August 2024 for a maximum of six months.  A Certificate of Internship will be issued for students who complete at least 90 days of the program. Please check the required period of internship for the position for which you are applying.

Required Documents:
1. FNSIP STATEMENT OF INTEREST  The applicant’s printed name will be accepted on the signature line.

2. FNSIP LETTER OF PERMISSION – Ink or electronic signature is required on the signature line.

3. TRANSCRIPT – Must be in good academic standing. (Admission Letter is accepted for Graduate students.)
