이 강좌는 현재 영어교육 현장 (방과후, 영어학원, 과외 등)에서 영어를 가르치고 있으나, 영어교육을 전공하지 않아 전공적 지식에 대한 갈증이 있는 분, 그러면서 영어교육 전문가 자격증을 취득하고자 하는 선생님 (예비선생님) 들에게 적합한 강의입니다.

TKT(Teaching Knowledge Test)는 영어강사 취업을 고려중인 이들에게 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있는 자격증입니다.

이 강좌를 통해 영어교육 전반에 대한 전공지식을 배우고, 실제로 캠브리지대학 공인 영어교육 전문가 자격증을 취득할 수 있게 될 것입니다. 교육부터 자격증 합격까지 전 과정 지원합니다. 합격할 때 까지 추가 교육비 일체 없습니다.

 

TKT란?

TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test)는 세계적인 명성의 케임브리지 대학교에서 제2외국어로 영어를 가르치는 교사들을 위해 개발한 시험 입니다. 전세계적으로 영어를 가르치고 있는 초등, 중등, 성인 대상 영어 교사에게 필요한 핵심적인 지식, 다양한 교수법, 자료 이용법, 다양한 수업목적에 따른 수업관리 등을 테스트 함으로써 현직 교사 들 뿐 만 아니라 향후 영어 교사로서 커리어를 꿈꾸고 있는 예비 영어 교사들로 하여금 자신감 향상과 더불어 실제 영어 교육 현장에서 반드시 함양되어야 하는 자질을 강화시켜 주도록 개발된 시험입니다.

영어 교육을 준비하는 사람에게 익숙한 TKT는 영국 캠브리지(Cambridge) 대학이 영어 교사 양성을 위해 제정한 것으로, 영어 교육을 위한 전반적인 지식들과 실제 수업 능력을 평가하는 시험이다. TKT의 특징은 토익에서 요구하는 영어와 달리 실제 교육 현장에서 필요한 언어적, 교육학적 평가를 집중적으로 실시한다는 것이다.

이 강좌를 통해 영어교육 전반에 대한 전공지식을 배우고, 실제로 캠브리지대학 공인 영어교육 전문가 자격증을 취득할 수 있게 될 것입니다.

 

각 과목 (modul)은 3개로 나뉘어 있습니다.

1. Modul 1: Background to language teaching

2. Modul 2: Planning for language teaching

3. Modul 3: Classroom management

 

각 과목 시험은 80문항 모두 객관식이며, 획득한 점수에 따라 Band1 ~ Band4 까지 자격이 주어지며, Band4가 최고등급입니다.

저는 물론 모두 최고등급입니다.

 

TKT 응시 대상

- 교사 지망생으로서 교사 능력자격증 취득 준비중인 학생

- 초등, 중고등 및 성인 대상으로 현직에 있는 영어 교사

- 오랜 영어 교수 경력이 있지만 보다 전문적인 재교육이 필요한 경력 교사

- 최근 영어를 가르치기 시작한 타 전공 영어 교사로서 자질강화가 필요한 교사

- 방과후 영어강사, 영어학원 강사 및 원장님

 

* TKT를 위한 특별한 응시자격은 공식적으로 없지만 영어로 진행되는 시험을 이해하고 풀어나가기 위한 기본적인 영어 구사능력은 어느 정도 필요합니다.

 

 

 

 

TKT Module 1: Background to language teaching

 

What does TKT: Module 1 test?

This module tests your knowledge of the terms and concepts of English language teaching. It focuses on the factors underpinning the learning of English.

 

The test

TKT: Module 1 has one paper. It lasts 1 hour 20 minutes and has 80 questions. The test is divided into three parts:

•describing language and language skills (40 questions)

•background to language learning (15 questions)

•background to language teaching (25 questions).

TKT Module 2: Planning for language teaching

 

What does TKT: Module 2 test?

This module focuses on the knowledge and skills you need to plan a lesson or a series of lessons.

This module also refers to assessment and focuses on resources that can guide you in your lesson planning.

 

The test

TKT: Module 2 has one paper. It lasts 1 hour 20 minutes and has 80 questions. The test is divided into two parts:

•planning and preparing a lesson or a sequence of lessons (40 questions)

•selection and use of resources (40 questions).

 

 

TKT Module 3: Classroom management

 

What does TKT: Module 3 test?

This module tests:

•knowledge of what happens in the classroom during language learning

•the teacher’s role in classroom management

•methods used to manage and make the most of interactions in the classroom.

 

The test

TKT: Module 3 has one paper. It lasts 1 hour 20 minutes and has 80 questions. The test is divided into two parts:

 

•teachers’ and learners’ language in the classroom (40 questions)

•classroom management (40 questions).
