Curriculum

Master's degree candidates on a thesis track must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours of graduate coursework. The PhD degree requires 30 credits, including dissertation.

Advanced Seminar in Creative Arts Psychotherapy Ⅰ, Ⅱ Based on the prior knowledge and clinical experience of creative arts psychotherapy, the students will deepen their learning through research, presentations, and discussions on key themes related to art psychotherapy.
Supervision of Supervision in Creative Arts Psychotherapy Ⅰ, Ⅱ Improve your supervision expertise as a clinical expert who supervises creative arts psychotherapy.
Research Seminar in Creative Arts Psychotherapy Ⅰ, Ⅱ We will study the subjects and methodology of the core research related to art psychotherapy through investigation, presentation and discussion.
Research Topics in Creative Arts Psychotherapy Ⅰ, Ⅱ We will study creative arts psychotherapy in depth through research, presentations, and discussions on key research themes.
Quantitative Research Method Creative Arts Psychotherapy Ⅰ, Ⅱ Students learn various quantitative research designs and methodologies in creative arts psychotherapy, and develop expertise in writing and presenting theses using the methodology appropriate for each research topic.

Advanced Statistics A systematic knowledge on the use of statistical techniques to obtain useful data from various data sources. Students will learn how to use statistical analysis programs using computational processing and computers.

Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Neuroscience theory and clinical techniques that combine it with creative arts psychotherapy are studied and applied in actual nerve rehabilitation fields including motion, cognition, and language.
Literature Review in Creative Arts Psychotherapy Ⅰ, Ⅱ Develop the ability to interpret previous studies through research, review, and critique of various texts related to creative arts psychotherapy, while establishing a foundation as a researcher.
Integrative Creative Arts Psychotherapy Theories and practice of the integrated use and clinical application of various art media will be studied, leading to the expansion of the creative arts psychotherapy intervention skill.
Philosophies and Ethics in Creative Arts Psychotherapy Studying the philosophy of creative arts psychotherapy and its ethical considerations so far, and examining the relevance of their application to reality and research.

Course Description
Movement Observation & Assessment This course focuses on one of the core principles of Laban Movement Analysis (LMA) which is consist of BESS (Body, Effort, Space, Shape). This class will prepare the student to develop skills for observing, documenting, assessing human movement behaviors. Students will learn foundation of theory, principles, vocabularies, and philosophy of LMA. These obtained knowledges will be explored as a way to apply various fields such as developing psychosocial or psycho-educational program, and exploring self.
Dance and Movement Psychotherapy Learn the philosophy, theory and techniques of various dance and movement psychotherapy techniques and develop the expertise to apply them to clinical practice.
