In today’s world, we have entered a truly global era where nations are interconnected and collaborate beyond borders. In this rapidly changing environment, internationalization is no longer an option but a necessity, and experiencing diverse cultures and knowledge has become an essential competency for future leaders.

Jeonju is one of the most traditional Korean cities, attracting over 20 million visitors annually, where history and culture come alive. Located in this rich cultural environment, Jeonju University is a regionally leading institution that offers unique and enriching educational experiences by harmonizing academic excellence with the depth of Korean culture, in line with the global rise of K-culture.

Since its establishment in 1964, Jeonju University has been committed to nurturing creative and practical leaders who contribute to society through holistic education that integrates spirituality, character, and intellect, under the vision of “Creating the Highest Educational Value as a Prestigious Christian Institution.” Based on this educational philosophy, the Office of International Affairs continuously strives to build a global learning environment by expanding partnerships with universities and institutions around the world.

Currently, approximately 1,000 international students from 17 countries are studying at Jeonju University, sharing diverse cultures and values. The Office of International Affairs provides a wide range of support programs to help international students adapt successfully to both academic and campus life. These include mentor-mentee programs with Korean students, host family programs with faculty, staff, and local families, various club activities, and dedicated teaching assistants for international students in each department, all designed to foster a sense of belonging and personal growth within the university community.

In addition, the Office of International Affairs operates exchange programs with over ten universities in Northeast Asia, including China and Japan, as well as institutions in countries such as Canada. We also offer various global education opportunities, including short-term overseas programs and dual degree programs. Through these initiatives, Jeonju University supports students in gaining international experience and developing global competence. We are confident that our well-structured international education and academic exchange programs will greatly assist you in pursuing your academic goals in a global environment.

The English track at Jeonju university provides an English-taught degree program, designed specifically for international students from around the world. The goals of English track are to foster professionals who excel in their fields while also nurturing individuals who are well- rounded in all aspects of life.

Our program currently consists of three majors offer a diverse range of specialized programs designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a global environment. The students will learn from professors who bring both expertise and a global perspective to the classroom.
