The Department of Hotel Management in Jeonju University is opening  an English track amid the global hotel industry boom. Accelerated recruitment of foreign students! 

- In September 2023, the selection of foreign students in English-speaking and non-English-speaking countries (including domestic residence) is underway- 

Amid the growing demand for professional hoteliers due to the booming global travel and hotel industry, Jeonju University's Department of Hotel Management will open an English track to recruit foreign students for undergraduate and master's courses. 

Jeonju University's Department of Hotel Management announced that it will open an English track for the semester beginning in September 2023, where classes will be conducted 100% in English, students will be selected from English-speaking countries from around the world or non-English-speaking foreign students with a certain level of English scores. 

The form of recruitment for the English track for foreign students in the Department of Hotel Management at Jeonju University is freshmen, exchange students, transfer students, and master's courses, and foreigners living in Korea can also apply. 

If a non-English-speaking foreign student applies for an English track, the required English grades are TOEFL IBT 71 and IELTS 5.5 or higher. 

Jeonju University's Department of Hotel Management also plans to cultivate a global mindset through cultural diversity experiences as well as high-quality hotel practical education for foreign students selected for the English track program. 

English track students will also to be connected with Korean students so that they can actively experience Korean culture and university life. 

In addition, the Department of Hotel Management plans to provide domestic and foreign internships for at least one semester to English track foreign students and to discover and support various employment sites in the domestic and foreign hotel industries. 

A system has also been established so that students who want to and who have completed the undergraduate program can be directly linked to the master's program. 

The opening and recruitment of the English track by Jeonju University's Department of Hotel Management has came as the business of large global chain hotel groups such as the Marriott Group and Accor Group expanded and foreign students' demand for professional hotelier education grew. 

Shim Young-guk, a professor of hotel management at Jeonju University, said, "The hotel sector is an industry for people around the world," adding, "In line with this, Jeonju University's Hotel Management Department has opened an English track to train high-quality hoteliers with expertise and practical skills." 

Jeonju University's Department of Hotel Management is currently focusing on recruiting foreign students from Europe and Asia to operate the English track and promote the opening of English track.
