Course Description
Digital Literacy and Humanities The main purpose of the course is to examine the definition, research areas, and scope of the humanities. It also explores the role of the humanities based on understanding digital literacy and related techniques. Specifically, students participate in related contests/competitions based on digital literacy and metaverse content-making from humanistic perspectives.
Introduction to the Humanities IThis course aims to improve English reading skills and to increase awareness of the role of the humanities.
Students are encouraged to enroll in their freshman year.
Introduction to English Literature The course will work towards giving the students an understanding of the historical development of English literature and an understanding of the ways in which literature can be explored through associated disciplines such as history, philosophy, and culture.
English & American Culture This class aims to develop global communication skills by recognizing that language and culture are indispensable in understanding American and English culture. In order to do so, various cultural theories and cultural differences between East and West are examined based on creative problem-solving projects.
Introduction to English Linguistics This course is designed to provide students with the basic concepts of the English language in explanation of the structure of English Phonology, Syntax, Semantics and other Linguistics.
English Reading Comprehension English Reading introduces students to reading skills development, vocabulary building, language analysis. The readings gathered from a wide range of genres (newspaper and magazine articles, personal essays, textbook chapters, book excerpts, on-line discussions, and interviews) help students handle various subjects they will encounter as they read more widely in English.
English Grammar English grammar is the set of rules that allow us to combine words in English into larger units, that is, sentences. This course is intended for students who wish to improve four skills in English to provide the most useful tools for learning English as a foreign language: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Course Description
A Special Lecture on English Linguistics Based on what we have learned in the introduction class of English studies, this class aims to conduct deep learning in various fields of English linguistics. Students can expect to learn English language science, language processing, and brain science, which are the applications of English studies. Through this class, students will understand how those applications can be used in future societies.
Basic English I To make the students prepared for the English major courses, this subject focuses on enhancing their English ability by reviewing what they learned in high school English classes.
Basic English II To make the students prepared for the English major courses, this subject focuses on enhancing their English ability by reviewing what they learned in high school English classes.
English Speech This course introduces students to public speaking skills. Students learn about proper body language, and also about communicating a clear message to their audience. They learn how to prepare speeches/presentations in English.
AI in English Education Based on an in-depth analysis and research on the theory and practice of English education using Artificial Intelligence (AI), this class aims to develop concrete and creative ways to learn and teach English in the 4th Industrial Revolution era. By exploring the present and future of AI technology, students can expect to stimulate their intellectual curiosity, which encourages them to apply and/or create a practical AI system (AI Chatbot, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), AI Speaker, etc.) for English education in collaboration with other peers.
Media English This is an intermediate listening practice course, which aims at listening and understanding native speakers.
Metaverse and English Drama The main purpose of the course is to improve English speaking abilities based on Shadowing and Mimicking techniques. In order to improve their practical speaking skills, students write a dialogue using famous English dramas or speeches and create a web drama in the metaverse platform.

Course Description
Understanding English Pronunciation This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn about the English phonological rules which include the point, process, and method of English articulation.
English Literature and Text A survey of the history of English. A useful approach to studying language is the historical one, which in the case of English demonstrates how many of the irregularities of the language are the remnants of earlier, quite regular patterns. Studying the history of English.
English Morphology This course is to provide a synthesis of what linguists and students have found out about English words, that is, the study of the internal structure of English words such as morphemes, affixes, compounds, etc.
Current Issues English This course gives students the opportunity to reflect on current issues of today, and discuss those issues in English. Students will take turns introducing current issues topics, and leading discussions about these topics.
History of English & American Literature Students learn the history of representative writers' works in British and American literature.
Understanding English Storytelling The class is a chance to understands the flow of stories through various channels of English (fiction, drama, poetry, etc.) and practices making stories on one’s own. Through this class, students can understand various English stories and practice creating their own content.
English & American Novel Students learn to analyze and understand theories of novel and works of each period.

Course Description
English Syntax Study of techniques and formalism for analyzing syntactic phenomena of human languages within the framework of transformational-generative grammar theories such as minimalism.
Understanding of English Meaning Following the recent ways that are connected to the theory of language and the philosophy of language, we officially investigate the cause of the meaning situation which is nowadays presented to all of the languages by English which is mainly made the meaning situation.
English Composition This is an English writing course for advanced students of English. It focuses on processed-based writing, helping students develop the ability to produce various genres of English writing.
English Curriculum and Educational Theory This course aims to study various English learning theories including acquisition, teaching, and evaluation and assessment. In addition, students learn about various language teaching methods suitable for the English education environment in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Students are do teaching demonstrations based on class contents.
Topics in English Literature This course explores different topics in English literature and builds on material learned in the Introduction to English Literature course.
Teaching English Through Multimedia Multimedia English is a course to encourage students to familiarize with information written in English related to each individual student's chosen field of study and to develop information technology skills such as the use of computers as word processor, for communication through e-mail and as an information retrieval tool & the use of the Internet and other resources for the discovery of information.
Theory and Practice of Translation This course aims at practicing translation after learning general theories concerning translation studies. By practicing translation from English into Korean and vice versa, using such various material as trade, study, film, game, and literature, the students can enhance their translation abilities. It is a deeper subject about interpretation and translation.

Reading in English It is not grammatical analysis of English sentences. It develops comprehension ability regarding meaning of whole chunks of text in the flow of the content written in English.
Practical English for Job Searching (2) As students have to find a job after graduation, this course will teach them to increase their communication ability in everyday life and international trade etc. This course will help the students to adjust to the changing social circumstances by preparing for potential English-language entrance exams.
English and Society The purpose of this course is a overall comprehension on various parts, which use English in our daily lives. Therefore, this course has a concrete object to study learning, thinking and culture with English.
English Listening This is an intermediate listening practice course, which aims at listening and understand normal speed English speech of native speakers. This course is recommended to students who successfully passed an English conversation course.
English Teaching Materials and methods This course aims to introduce the contents of English textbooks and acquire the knowledge necessary for the development of English tests or materials. To this end, students develop digital contents for English textbooks by utilizing the technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality. This course also produces 3D contents for English textbooks based on the metaverse.
