JJ Signs Business Agreement with Partner Organizations for Cultural Exchange of International Students.


Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) signed a mutual cooperation agreement with Goodwill Center (Center leader Ahn Woong-hyun), WithYou Center (Center leader Byeon Ho-sang), and Jeonju Global Multicultural Center (Center leader Kim Tae-young) to support cultural exchanges for international students on Wednesday.


On this day, the three institutions delivered the agreements for international students (▲Supporting settlement of Korean life and operating cultural classroom programs ▲Operating host families ▲Operating after-school Korean classes ▲Promotion of activities for co-prosperity with other communities) the signboard of the cultural exchange cooperation agency.


Recently, the three institutions have established a center near Jeonju University and are operating various programs to support the successful life of international students in Korea by utilizing a network of volunteers by institution; Korean language classes, table tennis classes, musical instrument classes, art classes, cultural experience activities, host families, medical services, etc.


Ahn Woong-hyun, head of the center, said, "I am happy that the community and universities can work together to help foreigners who visit our region," adding, "It is the consistent heart of volunteers to help international students complete their successful study life in Korea."


Professor Je Hye-geum, head of Jeonju University's International Exchange Center, said, "The help of local communities and volunteers will help enhance the national image beyond our universities and communities at a time when international students are difficult and lonely."


Meanwhile, Jeonju University's International Exchange Center is planning and promoting 16 programs in four areas, including "life support, academic support, self-development support, and employment support," to focus on 2023 international students.
