The Warmth That We convey with Our Fingertips

-Social Service Center, Sharing The Warmth of 1,000 Mufflers in the Community Over The Past 3 Years-

Jeonju University (President Park Jin-bae) has distributed mufflers made by faculty and student volunteers to the community every year for the past 3 years. As of yesterday, a total of 1,000 mufflers have been delivered to the community.

Although clothing has improved a lot, the daily weather is always a major concern for those who work outside in winter. When you think of standing in the bitter wind of winter all day, your mind shrinks faster than your body. In this case, even a small amount of warmth gives you the strength to stand.

In order to convey a small warmth to those in need in the community, Jeonju University Social Service Center has planned to share mufflers with sincerity and has been on the path for the past 3 years since autumn 2020. And as of yesterday, 1,000 mufflers have been shared.

They visited various institutions such as Jungang Market, Nambu Market's stand, senior citizens selling greens at the entrance of Moaksan Mountain, nuns' houses, Jeonju Healthy Family Support Center, Hansarang Welfare Association, Yeson Love Sharing, Hope Blooming House, and Senior Welfare Center.

Oh, in some ways, what was considered possible was thanks to the warm companionship of Jeonju University faculty members based on empathy and practical skills for this activity. They are all very grateful people who want their sincerity to be conveyed to their neighbors with warmth; including professors who made more than 10 mufflers every year during Chuseok, professor who made a muffler using the waiting time for the flight while on a business trip, and faculty who split the lunch break and made the muffler, and the teaching assistant who came with two to three people and took a huge amount of thread, and the 25 student volunteers who participated in the activity even though they were busy studying and self-improvement.

We are grateful that the warmth from the fingertips of Jeonju University members can be passed on to many people and become a scent that surrounds their lives. Now Jeonju University members are making mufflers to share next year.
