JJ’s Artificial Intelligence Innovation Sharing University Project Group Paid 32 Million Won in Scholarships in the First Half of Next Year.

The artificial intelligence innovation sharing university project group (Business Manager Ko Sun-woo), organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Jeonju University, paid 32 million won in scholarships to students who participated in the project on the 31st.

The ministry of education-supported artificial intelligence innovation sharing university project group selected only seven universities nationwide in 2021 for the purpose of fostering high-tech professionals through budget support of more than 60 billion won, and Jeonju University will receive about 9 billion won by 2027.

Scholarships for students participating in the project were converted into AI points for performance based on program participation, including non-curriculum, special lectures, and team tasks operated by the project group in the first semester, and a total of 52 students benefited from scholarships in the form of living expenses.

Jeong Kang-hyun, a sophomore artificial intelligence student, said, "I had to work as a team leader and project manager in the department, but I was able to achieve it with the help of my team members and professors." He also said, "I'm grateful to the professors who helped me do various activities." Sung Min-soo, a freshmen student, said, "This scholarship provided a great motivation for school life and studies and was a reward for the efforts to experience and actively participate in the semester."

"Artificial intelligence is a high-tech field of study, and scholarships were given to students who actively participated in the curriculum to deal with practical problems as well as theoretical education in school education," said Koh Sun-woo, a business manager. He also said, "I hope you will continue to motivate scholarship-winning students and let more students know that there are these activities in the high-tech field within Jeonju University."

Meanwhile, the artificial intelligence department, the weekly department of the artificial intelligence innovation sharing university project, was designated as a high-tech department and opened through the support of the Ministry of Education, and recruited the first new students in 2021. Amid the recent fierce competition among IT companies to secure talent, the department of artificial intelligence is training developers and experts in the field of artificial intelligence and big data tailored to the demands of companies and new industries.
