Coupang Fulfilment Service (CFS), a logistics subsidiary of Coupang with Jeonju University College of Business, signed a business agreement on September 1 to foster local talent in Coupang Logistics. It is interpreted as a follow-up measure to the smooth operation of the comprehensive logistics center scheduled for completion in 2024, after Coupang signed a memorandum of understanding with Jeollabuk-do and Wanju-gun on March 26, and is evaluated as the first practical industry-academic cooperation agreement signed by Coupang.

Coupang initially announced in a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with Jeollabuk-do and Wanju-gun that it plans to invest more than 100 billion won on nearly 100,000 square meters of land in Wanju Techno Valley, Jeollabuk-do, to set up a comprehensive.

In the business agreement, Jeonju University Business School (logistics trade department) and Coupang Fulfilment Service agreed to jointly develop and operate an industry-academic cooperation program to foster Coupang logistics local talent, and to contribute to win-win cooperation and revitalization of the local economy.

Through this business agreement, Coupang expects the smooth early operation of the Jeonbuk Logistics Center, which is scheduled to be completed in 2024, social contribution activities for regional co-prosperity, and strengthening Coupang's corporate image as a global logistics company. Jeonju University College of Business (Logistics Trade Department) also expects to strengthen students' employment competitiveness by strengthening educational competitiveness through the differentiated Coupang Logistics Regional Talent Promotion Program, providing stable regular employment opportunities for 10 students annually, and expanding internships and field training.

Based on this business agreement, Coupang Fulfilment Service and Jeonju University's College of Business (Logistics Trade Department) plan to jointly develop a differentiated logistics practice education program called Coupang Logistics BeSTAR program by December 2021 and operate Coupang Logistics Regional Talent Promotion Program in early 2022.
