It will establish a curriculum and human resources exchange system and increase the employment capacity of students.

Jeonju University's Department of Fashion Industry (Dean Choi Jin-hee) signed an agreement with Gucci Korea, a luxury fashion brand, at JJ University's Regional Innovation Center, on the 2nd. They also agreed to promote various support and activities for strengthening student competency and employment.

According to the memorandum of understanding(MOU), JJ University and Gucci Korea will cooperate in establishing a curriculum and human resource exchange system and training talent in the fashion industry. Gucci Korea regularly supports curriculum and non-curricular education at JJ University, while JJ University recommends talented people to Gucci Korea. In the future, the two institutions are planning to establish training courses linked to recruitment.

Prior to the agreement, JJ University and Gucci Korea have shared a consensus on nurturing talent and recruiting students. In April, Gucci Korea visited JJ University to hold a briefing session on store management and overseas sales, and explained career management and interview know-how along with the recruitment process for new store sales.

Due to the efforts of schools and companies, fourth-grade students were also able to pass the open recruitment in the first half of 2021 for Gucci Korea. Park Ji-hye, a senior in the fashion industry department who started working in July, will work at the Gucci store as a client advisor.

"The sales of premium fashion brands are on the rise, and it is essential to train professional shop managers who can give advice on fashion products to consumers' tastes. In particular, new launches are scheduled in Honam and Daejeon, and it is urgent to find local talent." said Kim Soo-yeon, a human resources manager at Gucci Korea.

Joo Jung-ah, a professor of fashion industry at JJ University, said, "Shop managers are attracting attention as high-income professionals with high competition for scouts in fashion companies. We will continue to work with various companies to train store management experts. "

Meanwhile, JJ University's Department of Fashion Industry has operated the National Accredited Fashion Shop Master Certificate Class since 2008 and more than 200 people have obtained certificates so far. In addition, it is also operating a BEStar program that trains service experts such as E-Land, fashion, and hotels, etc, to establish a leading educational model to nurture talent in cooperation with companies.
