On Chuseok, the "2020 Jeonju University Student Song Festival" will be held for foreign students.


Jeonju University (President Lee Ho-in) held the "2020 Jeonju University Student Song Festival" (subtitle: Singing alone) for foreign students on the occasion of the Chuseok holiday.


The event, aimed at encouraging international students who are struggling to study abroad due to the Corona-19, allowed only individuals to participate under the concept of "I Sing Alone" to comply with quarantine rules, and the preliminary round was held online. Twenty-six people competed in fierce preliminaries and 13 people came to the finals, and the finals were broadcast live on YouTube in compliance with social distance.


Cherencimet (Mongolia) sang SG Wannabe's "Living" thinking of his late father, which touched many people's hearts. Chae Gyeom-jin (China) sang IU's "Good Day" with cute dance, sparking a lot of people's response. It's a mix of rap, dance, praise, and so on. The first prize was won by Boutilin, who sang LATATA, and got 500,000 won in scholarships. The entire video clip of the K-pop festival is available on Jeonju University's YouTube channel.


"I thank the officials of Jeonju University and the Institute of International Exchange for giving a great boost to the dry life of studying abroad with corona and study," said Chanyanya (Thailand), who participated in the festival. My friends and my parents in Thailand were very happy.


About 1,600 foreign students, including China, Vietnam, Mongolia, Thailand and Myanmar, are studying in the Korean language training and academic department at Jeonju University, and have been selected as an education international chemistry certification university selected by the Ministry of Education in 2015 and have maintained its status so far.
