Park Jin-bae nominated as the 16th president of JJ University.

  Fostering creative practical talents based on the Christian spirit based on various on and off campus experiences.

  Shindonga Academy (Chairman Hong Jeong-gil) held a board meeting on January 28 (Friday) and appointed Park Jin-bae, former vice president of Yonsei University's administrative and external affairs, as the 16th president of Jeonju University. The board of directors said that nominee for president Park Jin-bae was appointed as the right person to run the university well based on various on and off campus experiences amid a decrease in the school-age population and difficult conditions of local universities.

  Nominee for president Park Jin-bae graduated from Yonsei University's Department of Electrical Engineering and received a master's and doctorate in Electrical Computer Engineering from Kansas State University in the United States. While serving as a professor of electrical and electronic engineering at Yonsei University for 27 years, he served as the head of the admissions department, research department, industry-academic cooperation team, vice president of the international campus, and vice president of the administration. In addition, he served as the chairman of the professor's council, and served as the chairman of the Ministry of Education's Industry-Academic Cooperation Holding Company, the head of the National University Industry-Academic Cooperation Group, the chairman of the Korea University Technology Transfer Association, and the Seoul City Industry-Academic Cooperation Forum. He took the lead in R&D sharing, diffusion, technological competitiveness, and science and technology industrialization between industry-academic cooperation and universities, and won the Best Engineering Award as a regular member of the Hallym Institute.

  Nominee for president Park Jin-bae will serve as president of Jeonju University for four years from February 1, 2022. Presidential nominee Park Jin-bae said, "Based on various internal and external careers, we will foster creative and practical talents based on the Christian spirit, promote practical research capabilities, create a culture of service and sharing, and realize a global university." He also expressed his ambition, saying, "We will do our best to give glory to God and achieve Jeonju University, which students are satisfied and proud of."
