Jeonju University has been conducting the Bestar Industry-Academic Cooperation Program jointly conducted with E-Land (Chairman Park Sungsoo) for 10 years, and held the 19th completion ceremony on December 16.

Since 2012, the Bestar program has been held in the form of direct lectures by E-Land executives and employees by opening a "Corporate Excellent Talent Promotion Course" (3 credits) with the aim of fostering talent together by companies and universities.

The lecture topic covered a variety of talents desired by companies, the meaning and principle of project implementation, and how to solve problems in the hotel, dining out, and fashion industries. Specifically, "To become a global talent," "How to grow into a book," "Draw My Roadmap," "Customer Value-oriented Storytelling," "How to Work as a Project," "Coffee and Bakery," "Hotel Manager Storytelling" and "Business Communication."

Lecturers include Woo Sangbae, CEO of E&C World, E-Land Group affiliates, Kim Yongchae, managing director of E-Land Human Resources Center, Lee Youngjin, deputy director of E-Land Construction, Lee Hyunchul, head of Kensington World F&B, and Han Sungjin, head of BG Lario Korea branch in Europe.

In particular, Woo Sang-bae, CEO of E&C World, an alumni of this school, told students vivid business sites and legendary service management techniques. Through the Bestar program, Yoo Soomin, head of the food and beverage team at Pyeongchang Kensington, and Lee Junggeun, head of the Spao region, sincerely shared their stories with his third and fourth graders who were worried about their careers.

Bestar is a program that allows students who are about to get a job to directly listen to the stories of talent and working-level fields they want from E-Land Group executives and employees and prepare for career development and interviews, and through this, about 100 students are getting E-Land employment and work experience.

The 19th Bestar students were 1 business administration department, 2 social welfare departments, 2 tourism management departments, 1 restaurant industry department, 4 fashion industry departments, and 4 Korean cuisine departments, of which 13 completed. A total of 8 teams visited the business site, listened to customers, suggested problem solving methods, and implemented final projects such as establishing strategies for increasing sales.

On Thursday, December 16th, an excellent project announcement and completion ceremony were held, and the best team "Misso NC Wave Jeonju Guest Store" (Kim Jungyeon, Jung Inyoung, Jung Haeun) and "Folder Customer Response Renewal using AR technology and big data" (Lee Sooyong, Kim Sohee) were announced.

Kim Siyoung, team leader of E-Land Park, who attended the completion ceremony, said, "I hope that E-Land Bestar program students will have a useful opportunity to learn and experience new experiences and training for companies, as well as how to produce their strengths and results."

Jeong Haeun (Department of Social Welfare), a 19th graduate of Bestar, said, "It was not easy to understand how to proceed with business-oriented projects at the beginning of the lecture because I was a social welfare department." She said, "But after a semester, I learned how to manage time, set goals, and work, and trained to solve problems in the field through final projects, which will also help me practice my major field."
