Jeonju University, Selected as ‘Best A Rank’ in the First Annual Evaluation of University Innovation Support Project
Jeonju University (Chancellor Hoin Lee) was selected as the highest rank, A, in the first annual evaluation of the university innovation support project.
This evaluation was conducted as a qualitative and quantitative evaluation based on the results of the first-year progress of projects and annual reports on 131 universities that are subject to the type I (self-improving university) of the university innovation support project. Jeonju University established a framework for realizing the goal of ‘student success,’ a big data-based student support, and decision-making system, and received the highest rating as a result of systematically operating various educational and industrial-academic cooperation programs.
In particular, it was evaluated to have achieved actual results that could contribute to the development of the local community and the nation by opening a flexible curriculum, integrated major at Superstar college, and a hiring link training course for large companies, ‘Harim Industrial-Academic Convergence Major,’ and establishing a Jeonbuk-style regional innovation ecosystem through the formation of the Jeonbuk Living Lab Network.
Chancellor of Jeonju University, Hoin Lee said that “Through curriculum development, teaching and learning support, and support for student’s success, we are creating successful cases of educational innovation in Jeonju University. Through continuous communication with students and faculty members, we will improve the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the programs and create an educational system that satisfies students, communities, and the nation.”
