Jeonju University, Building ‘HATCH Global Center’ in Warsaw, Poland
- Prepare a bridgehead for overseas employment and business in Western·Eastern Europe and Central·Western Asia -

Jeonju University (University president Hoin Lee) said that the fourth ‘HATCH Global Center’ was built in Warsaw, Poland. With this move, Jeonju University signed industrial and academic cooperation with major European and Central Asian major regions, including the center of Western Europe, London (UK), Istanbul (Turkey) which is the route of Europe and Asia, the central Asia, Vishkek (Kirgistan), and the center of Eastern Europe, Warsaw (Poland).

Jeonju University LINC+ enterprise organization held an industry-academic cooperation ceremony at the Warsaw office of World-OKTA on the last 13th and a signboard ceremony for ‘HATCH Global Center’.

While Ju Song, the head of the LINC+ enterprise organization, Nam Jong-seok, the chairman of the Polish Korean Association, Lee Hong-min, the district chairman of the Warsaw society of World-OKTA, and Ko Shin-seok, the former chairman of the Polish Korean Association participated on the event, the three organizations agreed to support Jeonju University’s advance into Eastern Europe and established the HATCH Global Center.

Jeonju University has set up a bridgehead to advance into Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Central and Western Asia by establishing its fourth HATCH global center in Warsaw, and will actively support Jeonju University graduates and companies in North Jeolla Province to make inroads here.

Jeonju University LINC+ enterprise organization has been operating various industry-academic cooperation programs, since it established its first global center with the World-OKTA London branch (the district chairman Son Byung-kwon) in August 2018 after discovering the possibility that various cultural contents and products in the Honam region can be produced and exported as high value-added products.

In particular, as a result of providing excellent talent to Korean companies that have entered the world and running the “foreign employment program” to help students in Jeonju University for overseas employment, four graduates have succeeded in advancing to Istanbul and London. Starting this year, the government will create a global job preparation course focusing on senior students (who are expected to graduate) and provide systematic education such as London local education to advance into Europe.
Through the agreement, Jeonju University decided to actively cooperate with the World-OKTA Warsaw Association in global field training, employment and Eastern Europe, and agreed to hold long-term field training for students at LG Electronics and related companies that are operating in Wroclaw, Poland, and to hold trade counseling sessions in Eastern Europe for Jeonju University’s family companies from June 25 to 27.
