Jeonju University’s International Student Employment Camp, International Student Favorable… High Satisfaction

- 22 international students, implementation of practical training and professional consulting for employment in Korean companies -

Jeonju University (President Ho-in Lee) held a “2018 International Student Employment Camp”, a personalized employment program for strengthening the capacity of international students to work, at the River Hill Tour Hotel in Gunsan for two days starting from the 23rd.

The purpose of this camp was to provide various employment information, basic skills, and skill acquisition opportunities for international students who do not have enough information about employment methods and business culture differences of Korean companies but are willing to get into the Korean companies. A total of 22 international students participated in this program.

     A customized program for international students was provided for two days. Practical training was provided for job candidates such as writing application forms for self-employment for Korean companies, making self-introduction statements, making interview images, understanding Korean corporate culture, and global manners. Also, career development and job consulting were conducted by job consulting experts.

     A student who participated in this camp, Suldo (Chinese / Department of Tourism Services) said that “I learned a variety of contents, and I had an interview about the contents I learned, received feedback, and learned the details of my lack. I hope many international students will attend this program for help.”

This camp inspired interest in Korean companies and established a positive employment network with local companies by providing international students opportunities to get the education in advance to employment.

Jeonju University plans to provide internships and job opportunities in Korean companies which will be also linked to actual employment to five international students who are selected through camp training and mock interviews.
