University – Jeollabuk-do Province, ‘South Korea-China Taekwondo competition’
Finished Successfully
Jeonju University held the “Jeollabuk-do Taekwondo Exchange Contest between South Korea and China” with Jeollabuk-do Province at Harim Mission Hall in the university on the last 6th.
On this day, 67 Taekwondo trainees from Shangdong Province, China and 110 parents participated in the contest of Poomsae and the competition. In addition to the competition, various programs were held including Taekwondo performances and lectures by Taekwondo demonstration team at Jeonju University.
Taekwondo trainees from China’s Shandong Province had a valuable time learning Taekwondo moves, participating in the competition, and cheering while watching a performance by the demonstration team in Jeonju University.
The Chinese Taekwondo Training Team also had a time to experience Korean culture such as hanbok (Korean traditional clothes) and hanji experience at Jeonju Hanok Village.

Yang, a vice president of Jeonju University said that “Jeollabuk-do is a place
where the World Taekwondo Championship took place in 2017.” He continued to say
that “I am glad that Korea-China Taekwondo Exchange Competition was held in
Jeonju University. I hope that this exchange will lead to active mutual exchanges
between South Korea and China.” |
