Jeonju university - Korea Productivity Center, Conclusion of agreement for Human Resource Cultivation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution

On the last 18th, Jeonju university held a business agreement ceremony with Korea productivity center for the fourth industrial revolution’s links between schools and industry and value creation for a new education.

The president of Korea productivity center, Gyuseong No, the head of fourth industrial revolution promotion team, Sangrok Choi, the director of the office for Honam region, HJinhwan Lee, and other local officials in Korea productivity center participated in this ceremony held by Jeonju University’s LINC+.

Jeonju university and the memorandum of understanding in Korea productivity center mainly focused on human resource cultivation for life engineering for Korean style smart living (food, clothing, and shelter based on regional specialty) based on IoT technology, activation of human exchanges such as work experience, internship for job creation, and the support on education from industry employees and the industry school cluster.

Through this agreement, Jeonju university will form an industry-academic consultative body in the fourth industrial sector to develop education courses in this field and focus on fostering human resources.

The head of LINC+, Song Ju who pushed forward this agreement ceremony said that “through the agreement related to human resource cultivation for the fourth industrial revolution, Korea productivity center and Jeonju university are looking for operating competitive education programs and fostering outstanding human resources together”. He added the expectation for the outcome of this agreement by saying that “through this, we will realize customized education for the interactive industry-academic link in the fourth industrial sector.”

On the other hand, Jeonju university has been nominated as ‘the innovation leading university in fourth industrial revolution’ project organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Research Foundation as the only university in Jeonbuk region.
