Jeonju University has Selected as the Only ‘2018 Universities for University Information Disclosure’ in Jeonbuk region

On 19th, Jeonju university had selected as ‘2018 cooperation universities for university information disclosure’ as announced by the Korean Council for University Education.

Since it was selected as a test-operated university of university information disclosure for the first time, it had selected for seven times (five times in a row since 2014) for the past 8 years. Jeonju University plans to actively participate in the operation of the university information disclosure system and enhance the credibility of the public information in 2018.

On the other hand, despite the cost, availability, and issue of released core information related to a situation of basic operation and a condition of education and research in higher education institution, in recent years, the university information disclosure system provides customized information by interlocking search results in a major portal sites and announcing and providing information network in advance.

The Korean Council for University Education had selected 33 universities, including Jeonju university, as its operation and cooperation universities in 2018, making Jeonju university as the only university in Jeonbuk region to have a scale of about 10% of total universities.

Jeonju university had selected as a university for operation and cooperation in university information disclosure and had experiences of actively engaging in expanding university information disclosure system’s improvement and engagement. Such attempts are carrying out research (a study on the development of data validation and the independent diagnosis items) in the second half of 2016 and writing issue papers (current status and improvement tasks for use of public notice materials by demand) in the first half of 2017.

The head of the planning ministry, Keunho Lee said that “I think the disclosure of university information is a pledge to keep trust with the public. I will continue to pursue the most trusted and influential university by releasing transparent information.”
