‘Korean Traditional Culture Experience’ Popular among the International Students

Jeonju University held ‘Korean traditional cultural academy’ for international students for two days from 25th to 26th.

Korean traditional cultural academy is our university’s special program that helps international students to get to know unfamiliar Korean culture get used to the life in Korea.

This event was the education for introducing Korean traditional culture. It was subjected to 25 current foreign students in the university, and for two days, they experienced Korean traditional culture through training for traditional Korean food, paper, dance, and song, house, and manners. Also, it was a time to improve their satisfaction of life of studying abroad and understanding of Korea. An international student who participated to this program, Bruna (Brazil, studying Korean) said “There was no way to get to know Korean manners and traditional cultures. So I am glad to have a chance to know them through this training.”

Our university plans to make various programs for the international students to adjust to the unfamiliar Korean culture.
