Jeonju University has the highest competition rate for regular admissions in Jeonbuk for 5 years in a row

 

Jeonju University recorded high competition ratio of 4.8 to 1 on 2018 regular admission and won the first place among major universities in Honam region.

 

As a result of 2018 regular admission, since 3,319 students applied to Jeonju University which keeps a capacity of 691 students, it achieved the competition ratio of 4.8 to 1 on average. This ratio ranked the highest admission competition rate among the whole universities in Honam region. Moreover, for 5 years in a row, our university won the first place for total competition rate in Jeonbuk region which is the sum of early and regular admission rate.

 

For each group, group A (a capacity of 196 students) scored competition ratio of 5.94 to 1 on average with 1,164 applicants, and group C (a capacity of 357 students) scored competition ratio of 4.33 to 1 on average with 1,547 applicants.

 

For each major, group A in the Department of Industrial Engineering recorded the highest competition ratio of 11.8 to 1, group C in the Department of Nursing had 9.73 to 1, and group A in the Department of Civil Environmental Engineering had 8.64 to 1.

 

Lee hojun, the dean of admissions, said that “I think our university’s specialized supporting programs for employment and foundation were attractive to examinees”, and continued to say “while aiming at creating academic value, as a result of the effort on continuous reforms in education, we could achieve the title of ‘No. 1 local university’ on 2018 admissions.”

 

Meanwhile, exam and interview for regular admission of group C will be proceeded on January 31. The final decision will be announced on February 6 at 5 pm.
