The School of Mission and Theology at JJ University was established in October 1994 after receiving permission from the Ministry of Education. It got its current name in 1996, and for 8 years it has grown to have two main departments and six majors (Studies of Old Testament, Pastoral Counseling, Missiology, Studies of New Testament, Church History, Systematic Theology). The school has excellent faculty and is striving to provide high-quality education programs for training efficient leaders and experts in the field.
The school is growing as a world-class institution by allowing entry of international students and newly installing more than three courses per semester. The school also dispatches missionaries to other cultures (cultures where Buddhism, Islam, Hindu, etc. are the dominant religion) through native missionary education programs. Moreover, in response to the knowledge based society of the 21st century, the school is currently considering establishing doctorate programs. We will do our best to become a school that strives in missionary works and education.
